About the Citizen Supervisory Committee
The Citizen's Supervisory Committee was created by Act Number 273 (PDF), Alabama Law, dated August 7, 1947, as amended.
The Committee meets in regular session in April and October of each year to receive reports of the Mayor, Personnel Board, and City Manager; to make recommendations to the Personnel Board for the administration of the Civil Service System; to elect a successor of any member of the Personnel Board whose term of office expires; and to transact any other business necessary in the general supervision of the Personnel Department.
