Landfill Information

The Environmental Services Division operates the city landfill and provides once-a-week automated garbage collection and once-a-week trash collection for all City of Dothan residents.

The City of Dothan Sanitary Landfill is closed.  Once the City of Dothan's Sanitary Landifill is re-opened the operation schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and disposal fees will apply. Anyone who is a City of Dothan Environmental customer may use the facility at no charge, and anyone who is commercial or a non-city resident will be charged a minimum of $42.78 per ton once the facility has been re-opened.   There are also other facilities in the area available for disposal and are listed below:
