The Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) is a seven-member board which typically meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. in the Commission meeting room. Please view the BZA Meeting Calendar for exact meeting dates. The cases heard and determined by the BZA include:
- Appeals
- Special Exceptions
- Variances

Note: The BZA is a statutorily authorized board. Additional information may be found in the Code of Alabama Title 11, Title 2, Chapter 52, Article 4, Section 11-52-80 and in the zoning ordinance, Article VI (Chapter 114) of the City Code.
