I just want to slow down vehicles in front of my house. Why is my petition area so large?
The entire length of the street must be taken into consideration when traffic calming is used. If motorists are required to slow down in one block, they’ll speed up on the other blocks to make up for lost time. This will only increase the amount of speeding in a neighborhood if a holistic approach is not taken.
